The Eastern NY ACS 2020 National Chemistry Week celebration will be virtual this year, organized in collaboration with the NY State Museum in Albany.
The 2020 NCW THEME is: “Sticking With Chemistry” (the chemistry of glues and adhesives).*
In place of an in-person event this year, the Museum will be hosting a virtual National Chemistry Week event. They have offered to post chemistry videos made by….YOU. Better yet – they will help you film your video!
From the Museum Staff:
Groups of people can come in at scheduled times to film videos, and we (Museum staff) can film them, post them, and share a copy with you if you want. I would recommend these demos meet some of the school standards** so that teachers would be interested in using them for future school years. Here is an example of some the filming we have been doing for our virtual programming:
How to participate:
Please complete this 2020 NCW Video Information Google Form by September 18, 2020 (earlier is better if you would like to work with the Museum Staff to film your video). We will then send additional information about filming and posting the videos to participating organizations.
Any questions about this year’s event should be sent to our new Eastern NY ACS NCW e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
