Please join us to learn about the chemistry of dyes, which will be hosted by ENY-ACS Chair Ellen Robertson at her home in Schenectady, NY! Here, participants will learn how to dye natural fibers using natural dyes, a process which relies on a good understanding of chemistry. Participants will also go home with a naturally dyed gift bag. The plan for the evening is as follows:
5:30 – 6:30: Pizza, snacks, drinks, and socializing.
6:30 – 7:00: Business Meeting.
7:00 – 8:00: A brief talk on the Chemistry of Dyes and demonstration of dying natural fibers with natural dyes.
